Pirots 4 Slot Review — Features, Functions, and Bonus Modes
200% bonus + 100 FS
Pirots 4 from ELK Studios is an insane space raid where pirate birds battle for crystals, lay siege to stations, and blast everything in their path. In many ways, the game resembles a mix of Star Wars and Angry Birds:
Every spin is like a new episode of a galactic saga, and you never know how it will end. But beneath all this vibrant anarchy lies a well-thought-out system — complete with levels, bonuses, and a mechanic that constantly surprises you. What makes Pirots 4 so special, and why is it unlike any other slot? Let’s break it down step by step.
Key Characteristics
- Grid: 6×6 up to 8×8
- Mechanic: No classic paylines — utilizes birds that move across the field to collect symbols.
- RTP: ≈ 94%
- Maximum Win: Up to 10,000× bet
- Bet Range: From ~€0.20 to ~€100
What makes Pirots 4 so appealing?
Pirots 4 is a complete cosmic adventure. Everything looks cool: bright graphics, glowing gems, and animations that seem to have a life of their own. The main difference from ordinary slots is the sense of movement. You can upgrade the gems, the field expands, and the birds fly as if each has its own personality. Fans of the Pirots series will definitely appreciate this slot. If you liked the previous installments, the fourth one will hit you right in the heart: everything has become brighter, more dynamic, and livelier.
It’s packed with features. This is a case where almost every spin can surprise you — the game is always throwing something new your way. Let’s take a closer look at the mechanics.
Slot features: how it works
Let's look at each feature separately, starting with the free ones.
Play for MoneyWild
The first free feature is fairly basic and is present in most modern slots — that's the Wild.
The Wild replaces any other gem at the current pay level. It extends the collection chain and often helps pull out a large win. Read more about the Wild symbol here.
Upgrade and Upgrade All (rockets)
As the second free feature, let’s talk about the rockets.
The Silver Rocket (Upgrade) increases the pay level of a single gem color by 1-3 points. The Gold Rocket (Upgrade All) improves all colors at once. The maximum level is 7.
Transform (Gas Canister)
Play for MoneyTransform is also an interesting free feature.
When a bird collects the Transform symbol (which we wrote about in detail here), it inhales the gas and transforms the neighboring gems either into its own color or into special symbols — an excellent way to create new chains.
Black Hole
What is space without black holes? :) Our next free feature is all about that.
A bird picks up the Black Hole symbol — and the field literally "sucks everything in": gems, birds, and bonuses disappear, and then reappear in a new order. If you're stuck without moves, the Black Hole can save the spin.
Spacecorn + Lost in Space
How about some popcorn?
Spacecorn creates bridges across empty spaces so that the birds can collect more gems. If the field is completely cleared during Spacecorn, the Lost in Space bonus round is triggered. Read more details about the Lost in Space game mode here.
Corner Bomb
At the very beginning, I talked about explosions: it's time to discuss them in more detail.
Colored Corner Bombs stand in the corners of the station. If a bird activates a bomb of its color, it explodes, clearing a 3×3 sector, expanding the grid, and opening a portal. You can explode up to 4 bombs — then the field will expand up to 8×8.
Switcheroo
In chess, there is a concept called castling, where two adjacent pieces swap places. Pirots 4 has a similar feature: Switcheroo.
Play for MoneyIf two birds get stuck side-by-side and cannot move, they suddenly swap places to continue collecting. Switcheroo is an excellent "rescue" feature that often gives a second chance at a win.
Now let's talk about the features that can be bought in Pirots 4. And for those who prefer to achieve everything on their own — how you can get them for free.
What features can be purchased?
So, what should you do if you want to test a rare feature, but don't have time to spin dozens or hundreds of times? Some features in Pirots 4 can be bought using X-iter. To do this, click the button with the corresponding label on the left side of the screen and you will see this:
At the same time, these features can also be triggered randomly: of course, that will be quite a long story. And it's not guaranteed that you will spend less this way: for example, during all my time playing (and I played no less than a thousand spins), I never hit the combination to activate the Super Bonus Game. I ended up buying it.
H3 Bonus Hunt
If you want to get more bonuses, the Bonus Hunt feature comes to the rescue. It only costs 3x your bet, so you can test it even with a small balance.
- What it gives: Increases the chance of bonus symbols dropping — it works like a luck accelerator.
- How to get for free: Just play; bonus features will still start appearing more often over time.
- How much to buy for: ×3 your bet
Alien Invasion (Space Bandit)
In ancient battles, the victor could receive a bounty of treasures. The battle between the birds and the Space Bandit during the Alien Invasion mode works the same way.
- What it gives: Activates the appearance of the Space Bandit—the vulture descends onto the field and begins hunting the birds, increasing the win multiplier. This is the most "action-packed" mode in the game.
- How to get for free: Catch the red button symbol during normal spins—and the game will launch the invasion itself.
- How much to buy for: ×25 your bet
You can find more details about the feature on this page.
Lost in Space
Lost in Space, you can find extra coins and increase your winnings
- What it gives: A separate round with coins, where birds stand in the corners and collect drops; every symbol or bridge found extends the game.
- How to get for free: Spacecorn must completely clear the field—then Lost in Space will launch automatically.
- How much to buy for: ×50 your bet.
H3 Bonus Game
The bonus game in Pirots 4 is one of the most profitable modes and can deliver some solid wins.. I've triggered it for free several times, and purchased it a few times — overall, it's a smart feature that has given me several wins of €10-14 with a €2 bet.
- What it gives: Free Drops mode — 5 free spins, where the gems become increasingly valuable with each spin.
- How to get it for free: Collect three golden skulls during the regular game.
- Purchase price: 100x the bet.
Super Bonus Game
In my opinion, the Super Bonus Game is a great combination if you catch it yourself, and quite controversial if you buy it. But getting the super bonus for free is quite a challenge. I didn't manage it.
- What it gives: an expanded 8x8 field, powerful features, and maximum winning potential.
- How to get it for free: collect two regular bonus features and one super bonus feature in the panel on the right.
- Cost: 500× bet.
Purchasing a bonus is a good option if you have some reserve in your balance and want to jump into the big-winning mode right away. But remember: the slot has high volatility, so even a purchased bonus doesn't guarantee a profit — it just gives you a chance to get to the fun stuff faster.
Play for MoneyFrozen Fury and Inferno locations
In addition to the starting Lost in Space, Pirots 4 features two more locations: Frozen Fury and Inferno. You can choose one of these three locations at the start or change them later.
Frozen Fury
After the starting zone, you enter a world where everything is frozen and enhanced. The Frozen Fury zone features visual effects with blue and white hues, snow swirls, and icy bridges, creating a feeling of chilly tension.
What's new here?Alien Invasion has been replaced by Yeti Snack Time. This feature works like this: when a Yeti Zone (4x4 "freeze zones") with a 2x2 Yeti center appears in the active zone, birds entering it are either frozen and disappear, or if they did collect valuables beforehand, their collected payouts are multiplied by the Yeti Multiplier.
The same principle applies to the Frozen Fury bonus game (analogous to Lost in Space):
The rest of the mechanics are similar: there's the Spacecorn, the Transform symbol, and other familiar elements. Now we move on to the third location — Inferno.
Play for MoneyInferno
If Frozen Fury is ice and cold, then Inferno is hellfire. This location also has several interesting peculiarities. Instead of Alien Invasion, there is the Fire Minions mode here (this feature, like Alien Invasion and Yeti Snack Time, can be bought via x-iter).
What makes them special?Between 1 and 4 Fire Minions appear randomly on the game field with every spin. These minions set neighboring birds (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) on fire. When a bird catches fire, a "fire marathon" begins: it moves, leaving a trail of gems or coins behind it.
A burning bird can set other birds on fire in sequence, triggering a chain reaction. This allows you to land a substantial win.
They also remain in the Inferno bonus game (analogous to Lost in Space and Frozen Fury):
To avoid getting lost in all this variety, it makes sense to talk about the demo version of Pirots 4.
Pirots 4 Demo: First Steps into the Chaos of Space
I admit, Pirots 4 is not one of those games where everything is clear from the first spin. Everything moves and sparkles, the birds race across the field, and bonuses rain down so fast it makes your head spin. For the first couple of minutes, you feel like a cabin boy on a spaceship—very interesting, but nothing is clear.
That's why the Pirots 4 Demo is your best friend when getting acquainted with the game. It allows you to settle in without rush, understand the mechanics, and test different modes and bonuses. Here you can experiment: catch corner bombs, check how the Black Hole or the Upgrade All rocket works — all without risking your balance.
After a few spins, the chaos starts making sense — you begin recognizing patterns and anticipating the birds’ movements.
Once I understood the basic elements and combinations, I decided to play for real money. Want to find out what happened next? Let's go.
Play for MoneyPersonal experience of real game
After a couple hundred spins in the demo mode, I finally switched to real mode.. And that's where Pirots 4 really showed its mettle.
I started with Lost in Space, my favorite alien location. Here, I scored a few small wins of €0.15—€0.50 with a bet of €0.20, and then finally landed a skull and activated the bonus round. I managed to win a little over €2.30, but the joy was short-lived — a streak of ten "empty" spins quickly ate up my winnings.
Sometimes I wanted to speed things up by turning on autospins, but I noticed a strange pattern: bonuses appeared less frequently with autospins. Maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe the slot really does prefer manual control. After a couple of tests, I switched back to regular manual spins — and upgrades and Spacecorns appeared again.
On Frozen Fury, the game was more even — the balance would drop and then recover. The most rewarding moment was landing Upgrade All, and almost the entire field turned into high-level stones. The win was around €4, which, considering the minimum bet, seems pretty solid.
But Inferno proved to be a real test of patience. Playing a regular game with a bet of €0.20, I managed to win €3-5 a couple of times:
I decided to take a chance and buy the Bonus Game for x100 (or €20). The result was a €16.70 win. I almost won back my bet, but not quite. Later, I tried the Super Bonus for x500 (€100) — and it was a lottery. At first, everything was going great: an expanded field, upgrades, explosions, multipliers. It seemed like I was about to hit the jackpot. But in the end, it was €112.40. Yes, I came in positive, but not a spectacular result.
Play for MoneyThe biggest win and loss
The biggest win happened exactly after buying the Super Bonus — €112.40 on a €100 bet. The emotions were like a roller coaster: first, excitement from the upgrades and fireworks, then slight disappointment that the win didn't soar higher.
But the most painful moment was when €40 went into the bonus game across two consecutive games without a single bonus. After that, I realized that in Pirots 4, you need to know when to stop: the game can reward generously, but it can also quickly "eat up" your balance if you get carried away.
Conclusions
If you love a slot that lives its own life with sharp plot twists — Pirots 4 is definitely your story. It's unpredictable, stubborn at times, but incredibly engaging. I played and caught myself wanting "just one more spin" not for the money, but simply because I was curious what would happen next.
This is a game for patient adventurers who aren't scared if their balance dips a bit and know how to enjoy the process itself. It has a lot of randomness, but also plenty of moments when it feels like you've caught the wave and everything is going perfectly. My advice: don't chase the Super Bonus from the very first minute. Play Pirots 4 in demo mode or with small bets, feel the rhythm, and figure out which features you prefer.
Play for MoneyAfter playing the demo, I started with bets of €0.2-€0.5. Only once I understood how everything worked did I start gradually increasing my bets: yes, my winnings can't be called fantastic, but in the first week of playing, I cashed out about €280 — which I think is a pretty good result for getting acquainted.
